So to make and edit a newbrochure, just head up to Tools, Templates.
And then once you're there, Brochure.
So what we're seeing currentlyis the old school brochure.
It was very limited andthere wasn't a lot of editing you could do, pretty straightforward.
Basically you could put in your packages, you could put in yourprices, you could share that with a new inquiry and basically they could choose what they wanted.
Very straightforward, but there wasn't a lot of editing in it.
Let's go ahead and take alook at the new brochure.
So on the left here,we go to my templates.
We can make a new template.
And woo, what is this? So they kinda changed everything, and it's more of a contentarea where you can add photos and text, and then youalso have a different area where you can add your services, which is more like the old brochure.
You have sections, so youcan make different sections for different types of services or even for your different photos.
So let's go ahead and add a couple just to have an ideaof what it looks like.
So let's say at the tophere, I wanted a cover image.
So I choose my image.
I think I uploaded a bunch recently, yes.
So this was me trying itout, seeing how it worked.
It's really cool.
So let's say I'm doing a pricing guide.
So I made a little cover here.
I choose the crop, I can save that.
So that's just straight up a photo.
So anyone else who haslike, PDFs right now that they got designed, andyou have different PDF pages, this would be perfect for you,'cause you could just go in, keep choosing image likethat, and just upload every image and haveone long little brochure that you can send outright through HoneyBook rather than having toattach and extra PDF.
So here this is and I can goahead and add another block.
And yet again I get the sameoptions, so I can do content, I can do services, whichever I wanted to.
Yet again like I wassaying, if you have a PDF pre-made already, and youhave each page separate, like as JPEGs, you couldjust go to cover image again, choose your image.
And then, you know, if you had the price, so let's say I had thislittle pricing page.
Get the crop.
And then I have this nicelooking, look at, just look at it! Custom made brochure, insteadof the old school style.
So if you did want somethingkinda like the old school style what you could do is basically, let's get rid of this section.
And let's title this the Banner.
So I could add a new section and call this Package One.
And I could do a cover image again.
But this time we'll use morelike a, why'd it change? We'll do like a banner image.
Kinda like this.
Make sure my crop's right.
So here we are, Package One.
Then I could add asection, but do services.
Now like I said, services is more gonna be like the old school way of doing it.
So I can pick my item, if I have templates for that stuff already it'll just load in.
So I could find my Package One.
And it would load in there, and they could see all that information.
So this way made earlierin a different template.
And yet again it's morelike the old brochure.
So you can do that and youcan also do the new stuff.
And it just gives you somany, so many options.
Like check this out.
Let's say I made another section, right.
And called it.
So Many Things.
We could put in two images.
So these images do have tobe, they can't be portrait.
I tried it out earlier and the crop wouldn't go the full way.
Oh, here goes our buggy-ness.
Let me go to the one whereI tried it out already.
If I can remember.
Here we go.
So for the large imagesit'll let you do portrait, but for these, and thisis the two column photos, it won't let you do portrait currently, 'cause yet again this is still a beta.
So I did two pictures, sothat was the two image column.
And then under it I didthe two text column.
So you could set up your ownpricing thing that way too, so if you don't have someonewho already designed a PDF page for you or something, you cando this and do it yourself, and then say here's animage, here's an image, here's some text for that image, and then here is a pricing package.
And then just send it off that way to your clients, it's so good.
So, so good.
So that was a quick lookat the new brochures, yet again this is abrand spanking new beta, so they may add some more stuff later.

Next we're going to Define Color Swatches.
By opening the swatches panel go to windowselect color.
In the swatches panel.
Double click the default blue color swatchwhich has C 100 M 90 Y 10 and K 0.
Change the ink percentages.
80 for magenta.
0 for yellow.
And 0 for black.
I know that it looks purple here on the screenbut in the directions were going to be referring this as to Blue as it is somewhat in betweena blue and a purple.
Click okay to apply the change.
And then we're going to go to the defaultred which is this one right here and do the same process we're going to double click.
Can I change the numbers to 20 for Cyan 100 magenta.
100 yellow and 10 for black.
then click Okay.
With nothing selected in the layout clickthe default green color swatch and drag it to the panels delete button.
This right here the icon that looks like atrash can.
Next we're going to open the swatches panelmenu which is located right here in the corner.
So we're going to select.
New color swatch.
we're gonna leave the name with color valueoption check.
Make sure the color type is set to processin the color mode is CMYK.
Next for going to change cyan to zero.
Magenta to 40.
Yellow to zero.
And then the black to 100.
And then we're going to uncheck.
Add to CC Library.
click the add button.
So I can create the color swatch.
in the new color.
Swatch dialog box.
right here we're going to choose Spot And then we're going to choose.
Pantone Metallic Coated in the color mode menu.
Then we're going to place the number 8005.
And the field box.
So next we are just gonna save our swatches.

Today's short video is to show you how to print your posters using the SHU PAD here on campus First things first though before you can get to that step.
You need to make sure you properly save your poster So pretend this is a completed poster right here.
I want to go to file save as and Then I'm going to name this last name Cm 102 Poster and Under here at the bottom where it says format.
I want to hit the drop down menu and choose JPEG And then hit the Save button Make sure you choose where you want to save it to and hate your save button Once you have it saved I Provided a link straight from the poster designs page on the website if you scroll down Under printing poster.
There's a link here to the digital storefront open that up and Then on the top right there is a login option I'm already logged in here but you can just click that and login using your sacred heart username and password and then click on the first option for duplicating and Then in this area we're gonna click on the first one for by now and the copies And when we get to here you can go ahead and you can first go right down the steps add your files So we click on add files and give this screen a couple minutes a couple seconds It takes a little while to load.
Once it loads.
I'm gonna choose the upload files option Locate my poster and hit open It'll now give me this screen right here I can hit the upload button and it'll start uploading the file And once it allows me to I hit the done button and now my posters here But you can see it's black and white and it's also not the proper dimensions yet Next up I'm going to go up into job name again.
Give it a name use your last name cm 102 poster as your job name Come down to the bottom here under paper and click the media button And this will give you the options for what type of media printed out on I'm gonna hit the filter size drop-down and choose 11 by 17 So I only see these options and select the very first one that says color copy.
Cardstock white 11 by 17 and press ok Then I'm also going to choose final width and height 11 by 17, okay And now it's still in black and white So I need to make sure I hit color Black and white options and turn it to color and now our poster is on The page with the proper dimensions once I'm here at this step I can hit the Add to Cart button It'll ask you to I want to agree agree It's now in my cart.
