- I feel like Bob Ross right now.

You know, I'm just gonna.

(playful whistling music) (fast rock music) Hey guys it's Kayla!- And Mom! - From We Are The Davises.

- And today we're gonna be doing a three color challenge on a giant poster.

- Yes.

- So we have three colors.

- We have blue.

- [Both] Red.

- And yellow.

- So what are these? - These are the primarycolors so we can mix them.

- How many colors do you think we can make with three colors? - I don't know, you can't make like pink, because you need white for pink.

Well you can make a lot ofcolors, like most of the rainbow.

- I also gave us these muffin pans.

- Life hack, if youdon't wanna make a mess just stick the paint in here.

And it works well.

- We're gonna try it.

So maybe we can make abunch of individual colors and give it a more rainbowy look.

- Yes! - Let's start mixing these and see what kinda colors we come up with and then Kayla's gonna paintthat side of the poster and then I'm gonna try andpaint this side of the poster and then somewhere in themiddle we're gonna meet and we'll just see how it turns out.

Hopefully it'll be cute.

(lighthearted ukulele music) - My hands are covered in paint already.

Washable paint this time.

- Washable paint so thisshould not hurt our clothes.

- Ooh, you have like a teal color.

That's kinda fun.

- I kept mixing andthen it started changing and I think still got roomto make another color.

- Wow! We got red, orange, yellow, green, light green.

- Light green and dark green.

(gasping)- Blue.

And then a dark blue, and then purple.

- I think I gotta makea couple more colors.

(laughing)I want light green, so that's mostly yellowwith a little bit of blue.

- Okay let's get started.

I'm doing the dolphins.

(soft music) When you first like globit on it's kinda dark, so we're just gonna make it nice and thin.

I feel like Bob Ross right now.

- So I've got some coconuts up here, maybe I'll start with that and then go to the palmleaves on the palm tree.

- Yeah, your side is more jungley, my side's more beach like.

'Cause I got my like, beachumbrella, we got palm tree, we got seashells, we gotsand, we got the ocean.

- [Mom] You got all kinds of stuff.

- Yeah.

Now let's do the ocean, I'm not gonna color the whole ocean 'cause that would take forever.

- We're tryin' to make some brown, so that's gonna be my attemptfor brown, right there.

- I'm very proud of myself, I made dark blue with no black.

- [Mom] No black? - Yeah, I just mixeda little bit of red in and it made it darker.

Okay I know that the wavesaren't the neatest thing.

Don't judge me.

(laughing) - So you can see I workedon the coconuts right there, now I want to work on the palm trees.

(soft upbeat music) - Gorgeous!- Kinda scared, still scared.

- Scered.

- Scered.

I'm two toning my palm tree which it is a little cut off too, but if you guys can see that.

- [Kayla] I need moreseashells, okay here's one.

- I gotta give it depth so I like picking a lightercolor and a darker color that are similar and thenputting them both together and then that makes me feellike it's more colorful, right? It's not so flat.

- Well I just like paintingseashells purple so.

(laughing) Oop, I rested my hand onsome paint, that's fun.

- Didn't spill?- The tea.

(laughing)- What? (laughing)You didn't spill the tea? - Yeah! I asked what's the tea.

- What's the tea? - [Kayla] Yeah, what's the tea? - I don't know what she's saying.

(laughing)What's that mean? - [Kayla] What's the tea? - I'm not cool and hip, what does that mean? - Oof.

- What's the tea? What's the time? - What's the tea?- What's the time? - What's the tea?- What's that mean? (laughing) I don't get it.

- You'll never know.

(laughing) - That's just mean!(laughing) So let's do some coconuts here.

I'm just gonna, do do, color 'em all in.

They look like bowling balls.

- Yeah! - Oh, bananas are yellow too, I'm just gonna color everything yellow in.

Do real coconuts have the three holes? - I thought they did.

- The three knobs.

- Okay, the dolphins are not living their best life but that's all right.

- They look gorgeous,(laughing) they're very bright and colorful.

(soft playful music) What does Ty stand for? - [Kayla] I don't know, I just know that they make Beanie Boos.

- [Mom] Beanie Boos, Beanie Boo letters.

So that's what these are? - Yes!- They're Beanie Boos.

My red and yellow aredefinitely starting to mix because I am going out of the lines.

- Wow, pretty snazzy,I should be an artist.

(laughing) - [Mom] It's kind ofcreating an orange, I guess, around them, like orange yellow.

- [Kayla] I kinda like justpainting on my hands, honestly.

(laughing) You know those things thatare suppose to relieve stress, or the coloring books thatare suppose to relieve stress? - They seem stressful!- Yeah, I can't.

There's so much to do, I getoverwhelmed before I start.

I'm like, oh no! You know I'm just gonna.

This is much more fun to me.

- Coloring your hand? (laughing)Kayla! - It's so fun! I'm a lizard.

- [Mom] You're a lizard? I need more paintbrushes, these ones are too big.

- I'm a lizard.

Did anybody ever used to putElmer's glue on your hand and then peel it off when it dried? That was always super satisfying.

We'll just paint one handed now.

- [Mom] I want my monkeys to be purple.

(lighthearted ukulele music) He's got a little ear right there.

- Wow, this is a look, honestly, wow.

- [Mom] Pretty sure this monkey-- - Wow, that makes my hand look really big.

Yes, okay.

Now, the cheetah orange? Sure.

And cheetahs are gonna be orange.

- Yes, cheetahs are orange.

- I'm just gonna covereverything in orange and then wait for the orangeto dry and then cover the spots because I really don't wantto paint through the spots, that'd be kind of annoying.

New word of the day, tedious.

I don't know the definition but that's what this is if you didn't.

Skip over all of the circle dot thingies.

- [Mom] The smaller stuffis definitely harder to do.

- [Kayla] Yes.

I'm trying to show them my green hand, I'm gonna stop because-- - [Mom] Does that meanyou have a green thumb? - I don't want to close my hand.

- [Mom] Do you know what a green thumb is? - Yes, it means you're good at gardening.

And I am very much not,I'm working on it though, it's my New Year's resolution.

- [Mom] She's gonna grow some plants.

- My fern is dying, but I'm saving it.

(laughing)- You're furnace? - Fern is.

- Furnace?(Mom laughing) - You're next! (upbeat techno music) So I think we are good.

We got quite a bit of color for only having three colors originally.

So it's very colorful, Mom definitely helped me.

- I'm proud of it, I think it looks really good.

- Yes.

- I like that.

I like how you mixed in a light blue with thedarker blue for the water.

That turned out really good.

- I think all of it is super pretty.

So we start off in theocean with our little, what are they called, dolphins! And then you got a cheetahunder his umbrella, and then a tiger.

- Super cute.

I like how you did the dots.

I kinda ignored the dots on my side, as you can tell here.

- [Kayla] And then Mom did themonkey in the little hammock.

We got a giraffe.

- [Mom] I was gonna go back and color in the spots with a darker color.

- [Kayla] Same with thecheetah, but I got lazy.

(laughing)- But we had a lot to color, so I thought the brightyellow would be fine.

- And then you got a littlesandcastle and a zebra, and then there's a second monkey.

Yeah, and then the Beanie Boo logo.

So I hope you guys enjoyedthis video, comment down below.

- Have you ever colored anything larger than what would bein a normal coloring book? Like this is a pretty big poster, have you done a colored poster before? - I've actually never seen these before, these are actually really cool.

I definitely recommend paints though, 'cause I think this wouldtake a while with markers.

- This was about anhour between two people so if you were by yourself this would probably be a day project.

(laughing)- Don't forget to subscribe to our other family channelsand until next time-- - [Both] Bye! (upbeat music).

Hey everybody, David here from Hoplite Tacticaland in this video I'm going to un-boxing, rather un-tubing some posters from Xray gunsthat just arrived today.

So far they seem to be well packaged.

We'll take a closer look at them here.

First off I want to mention that there isa 30 day guarantee, at least I believe it to be 30 days, I forgot to check up on that.

But there is a return period for these postersif you're not 100% satisfied you can return them.

However the one stipulation is you gotta keepit mostly smudge free, fingerprint free, so that he can resell them.

Which is perfectly understandable, it's agreat policy.

So I'm going to be putting on some glovesfor this video just to keep my booger hooks off of the merchandise.

Be careful here unwrapping it, I'm not toosure if this tape is stuck directly to a poster.

Okay I gotta off the glove for this portionso that I can use what little of nails I do have.

Trying to be as careful as I can, again I'mnot exactly too certain if this tape is stuck directly to the poster.

I think this is painters tape so it's veryeasy to remove.

Get this glove put back on, let's take a look.

Yes that was stuck directly to a poster.

This one appears to be a SIG or SG, SIG 551.

Try to get it on camera without too much glareon it for you.

That is a very nice poster.

Seems to be made out of very high qualityfilm stock paper.

Here's a close-up of the poster.

Very cool, I am impressed I will not be usingthe return period.

This artwork is going to be up on my wallvery shortly.

You can have them custom framed form Xrayguns, however being as how that was coming from the US, and us being in Canada that wasgoing to be at high risk of breaking the frame or the glass so I decided that I wanted tohave it done here, we'll probably make our own frames.

Let's show you what a few of the other posterslook like.

I believe this to be a SCAR 16 suppressed.

Here's a close-up of it.

Here we have a Tavor.

I'll move through these a little quicker now.

Here's another Tavor, and the other SIG 551.

If you're wondering why I have duplicatesof some posters, some are going to be decorating my walls and some other people took the opportunityto get in on a group buy, so not all of these posters are for me.

A lip to grab on to, we're in.

Okay, this is a bit of a note from Xray guns,it says "Thank you very much for your print purchase, I'm constantly adding new gun designprints to my websites which can bee seen at xrayguns.

Com" I'll also leave the link inthe description below.

"And etsy.

Com/shop/xraygunprints.

This is a 10 inch by 20 inch print, framesranging from $10 to $250 can easily be found for the print depending on your personal budgetand taste.

Any framing shop in addition to arts and craftsstores such as Michaels and Hobby Lobby have such.

Carefully untape and unroll the prints.

" I should have probably read this first.

"Simply place it face down overnight to allowit to straighten up without creases.

I hope you enjoy your unique print.

Houston.

" And Houston from Xray guns has been a greatguy to deal with during this entire purchase.

Highly recommended Houston, thank you verymuch.

Get his knife put back away.

Now I'm removing the tape in that directionoff of the edge of the poster.

Make sure that I don't tare these postershowever after handling a few I'm far more confident that this very thin paper tape, painters tape, or whatever it is isn't going to tare the poster.

still going to be carefulthough.

Okay what we have here is a HK 416, tilt itup so that you can see it without too much glare from my studio lighting.

Let's go through a few more here.

Your standard AR15.

Standard AK47, I'm sure there's going to bean AK guy telling me whether I got that right or not, whether it's standard or not.

I'm sure there's probably people that couldtell me what type this is, if so please leave a comment in the comments section below.

I'm curious to know, there should be a coupleof AK's here so I'm going to flip through those.

Yes.

And another HK 416.

So I'm very excited to get these posters inthey're going to be decorating my walls very soon.

Just gotta let them flatten out a bit, unrollthem and get them framed up.

They are of a very high quality photo stockmaterial, hopefully you can see that.

And if you want to purchase any of these yourselfthey can be found at xrayguns.

Com or at their etsy store which I'll leave a link to bothin the description below.

The Difference Between Watercolor, Gouache, & Poster Colors | RushMyPrints

Quick Business Cards

hi everyone this is Scott from Closet ofMysteries and today I want to talk about screen printed posters.

What I think isreally cool about screen printed posters is that it is a way that I can offerartwork to people that I still hand-make but it's far more affordable than, youknow, getting a an original piece of art obviously.

So, what else is cool about itis that while a lot of reproductions are done basically by a computer where youjust hit, you know, command or control P depending if your Mac or PC and then aprinter just spits it out whereas printing something by handactually requires the use of a stencil such as this and squeegee so this is howthe process works basically I'll do it in short.

BLAP! Ink on there goes throughthe mesh and onto the paper or t-shirt if I'm doing a t-shirt.

So that makes ityou know it's a more manual process and I get to still be involved in that in away that I can't be if I'm doing, you know, just a regular print.

Not everythingobviously can be screen-printed.

For example, if I were to try andreproduce a painting like this, I would not choose to do that with a screenprint.

But a lot of other art work can be done that way if it's more linear orblocky kind of thing.

So I'll show you someexamples of some of the original artwork that I have.

For example, I'll start withthe Ganesh drawing that I did here which ended up as this poster here.

So you cansee it gets a lot of detail in there.

And I'll pull this off the wall and bring itup closer you can see how the detail translates.

See.

Still captures quite alot of detail but is a reproduction.

So, anyway, this is a.

One of the things.

I really really dig these posters I think that they'rereally cool Here is my.

I did this alchemicalillustration and this one is a screen print.

Whereas this one here is actuallythe original and unless you got right up close you can't tell the differencereally at all, so that's pretty neat.

I think.

and.

like, this one here is a screenprint obviously.

I don't have the original anymore because I sold it.

But Ireally like how this turned out.

The peyote with the rattlesnake.

And then ifyou if you run your finger across it, just a little bit, you can feel the inklike has just a slight bit of raise off the paper so I know that's one of theappeals of the screen print.

And then have the one my more popular designs ofmy shop is the "Magickal Grackle".

This was the original.

And this here is theoriginal mushroom portion of the "Buy the Ticket Take the Ride" poster andt-shirt design that I offer in my shop.

This is one of the more popular ones.

Andthen the end product I did the lettering on a separate drawing, but the endproduct came out like that.

So I think that these types of reproductions arereally cool and I feel still very much involved in the process because Ipersonally print these in my workshop.

and.

um.

that.

I like to have things aspersonal as possible.

So that it's kind of the way that I can transmit myintention and energy that I had when I originally made the artwork continuingthat into the reproductions whether I'm doing a t-shirt orscreen-printed poster.

So I would like to give every one of you the opportunity toget your hands on a poster that I've designed for absolutely free! All youhave to do is go on over to win w-i-n dot closet of mysteries.

Com and then thereis an entry form there that you can go ahead and sign up for and you'll beentered to win! I'm doing four drawings throughout January beginning on the 11thof January will be the first one.

it'll be every Friday at 6 p.

M.

MountainStandard time.

I'm going to select a winner who can then choose any designthat they want in my poster selection from the closet of mystery shop.

And youjust let me know which one you want and you get it for free if you win! So therewill be four of them.

The last one will be actually on February 1st, sotechnically not January, but that's the last Friday.

That's the last day of the week of the last week of January.

So I encourage youto do that.

Feel free to comment or ask any questions in the comment sectionbelow.
